In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
The inaugural Captain’s Bling Ball took place last week during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
The event, which welcomed hundreds of Superyacht captains and industry professionals, was run by Dockwise Yacht Transport in association with Yachting Pages and the SuperYacht Owners’ Guide (SYOG).
Set in one of Fort Lauderdale’s most exclusive hotels, guests adorned themselves in ‘Bling’ and headed to the top floor of the Hyatt Regency Pier 66. The glittering pier-top ballroom provided the perfect setting for the event with unparalleled 360-degree waterfront views of the Fort Lauderdale skyline and coastline through floor to ceiling windows.
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed gourmet canapés, caviar, champagne, luxury vodka served through an ice-luge as well as a cigar and cognac terrace. Providing the entertainment was a harpist, a DJ and dancers dressed in unique silver costumes.
During the evening, guests were invited to take part in the charity raffle, where the top prize was a $2,000 diamond necklace, followed by a $1,000 travel voucher, an ipad and much more. All proceeds went towards marine conservation.
Jack Robinson, Business Development Manager at Yachting Pages and SYOG enthused, “The event was undoubtedly a success and created a real buzz around the Superyacht industry in Fort Lauderdale. It provided Superyacht captains and industry professionals a great chance to network in a glamorous yet relaxed environment. We were proud to be a part of the first ever Captain’s Bling Ball and look forward to next year”
