First look at the Sanlorenzo 44Alloy yacht

Italian yard Sanlorenzo has revealed exterior and interior renderings of its first in-build 44Alloy.

The yacht is the first of five hulls in the series currently under construction at the yard’s dedicated superyacht facility in La Spezia. The new models were developed in collaboration with Zuccon International Project design studio – a first for a Sanlorenzo yachting project.

Built solely in aluminium, the first 44-metre (144-foot) hull in the series is currently set for a 2020 delivery and will look to make its debut in September at the 2020 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Massimo Perotti, chairman and CEO of Sanlorenzo, said, “I love to see the birth of a new model, to pore over drawings with my colleagues, discuss every single detail and improve, and improve again until we finally see the real project and finalise it with the owner, who places his dream in our hands. The most satisfying part is to see later in the water exactly what we had in mind.”

The interior volume is understood to be 440GT, a significant increase on the outgoing Sanlorenzo 40Alloy’s 338GT and will be able to accommodate up to ten guests with a crew of nine. The owner’s cabin is its own private 145-square metre apartment split into three levels.

Other features include a large beach club that opens on three sides, two Jacuzzis and a foredeck lounge. The modern interior, designed by Zuccon International Project, sports a neutral palette with large floor to ceiling windows in the main saloon.

Power will come from a twin—screw MTU drivetrain for a top speed of 22 knots and comfortable cruising at 20 knots. Vital statistics include an 8.9 metre beam and a maximum draft of 2.3 metres.
