French ports operated by the CCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) have introduced new fire-safety measures following the fire to Benetti-built superyacht Lalibela in Golfe Juan in October 2018.
The CCI recommends that all yachts visiting one of its ports displays a fire safety plan in a tube at the end of the passerelle. This should be simplified, in French, to aid the emergency services in the event of a fire.
It is hoped that this will save significant time in an emergency and improve the safety of everybody visiting or working in the ports
