Glass Performance Days (GDP), the independent expert forum for the world’s glass industry, has announced more than 15 practical and interactive workshops to be hosted at the biannual conference and exhibition in Tampere, Finland in June 2015.
With a mixture of more than 15 practical and interactive workshops on offer, the event will cover a wide range of topics on patents, glass processing techniques, glass products and case studies on the use of glass in architecture, appealing to delegates from a wide range of industries, including the superyacht sector.
Each course will last between four to six hours, giving attendees an insight and working knowledge of the topic in hand, as well as a chance for networking in between. It’s hoped that the event will lead to creative innovation and continued contact between delegates.
Kuraray Glass Laminating Solutions, formerly known as DuPont Glass Laminating and Kuraray TROSIFOL, before they merged into the same entity last year, have been part of the GDP sponsorship since the very beginning.
Jonathon Cohen, global business director of SentryGlas®, Kuraray Glass Laminating Solutions commented, “Over the years, GDP has been a very important event for us. It’s a place where we can reach out to architects, engineers, glass engineers and the glass industry as a whole.
“GDP provides us with a chance to find out more about the needs of the markets. It’s a place where we can promote our own innovations and test our new technologies with the other people present. For us, it’s a great opportunity to push the limits in glass. Of course, there’s time to have fun, too.”
The 2015 GDP Finland forum takes place in Tampere between 23rd and 26th June.
