Gill appoints Nick Powell as marketing director

Gill, the technical sailing apparel brand has announced the appointment of Nick Powell as their new marketing director.

John Deverill, managing director of Gill commented, “I’m very pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Powell as our new marketing director. Nick has worked for a number of marine brands in Europe and the US and has extensive brand development experience. We are excited by the opportunity to strengthen the management team as we continue to invest in the brand and increase our international market share.”

Nick Powell, in his new position as marketing director at Gill said, “I’m delighted to be taking on this role at a time where Gill is looking to develop the brand further and grow market share.”    

Nick will be joining the Nottingham based management team in January 2015. He has previously worked as marketing director Brunswick EMEA, working on Quicksilver, Uttern, Sealine, Hatteras, Arvor and Valiant marine brands.  Nick has recently worked in the luxury outdoor furniture market where he was brand director for Gloster Furniture.
