London-based design studio Gresham Yacht Design has presented its latest superyacht concept, Exploris.
Sporting a masculine exterior with an Ice Class hull and Ulstein Group-style ‘X-BOW’, the 100-metre (328-foot) explorer yacht has been created to take her owner and guests anywhere in the world with confidence.
Lloyds PYC-classified, Exploris is fully equipped with all the technology and hardware expected of a true, modern explorer yacht.
Key features on-board include a CAP 437 helipad located aft of the vessel, two fully covered aft-deck areas, a 10-metre pool fitted with swim jets, and a Jacuzzi. Meanwhile, the main saloon is located forward, offering panoramic views and leading directly to the forward-facing observation lounge, which offers uninterrupted views of the landscape.
Steve Gresham, director of Gresham Yacht Design, commented, “The owners have a private-deck area and below this there is a forward-facing observation lounge above the enclosed mooring room. We have been working closely with interior designers Seymour Diamond to develop interior layouts, architectural details, furnishing and finishes.”
Engine details have not been disclosed, however Exploris’ twin Azipod propulsion system allows for a range of 7,000 nautical miles. When combined with a forward retractable thruster and twin bow thrusters, Exploris has excellent manoeuvrability and full dynamic positioning capabilities.
