Heysea Yachts to sell a third yacht to a Chinese client

Chinese yard Heysea Yachts has confirmed an order for its 38.4-metre (126-foot) Asteria 126 to a Chinese client who it reports to have also bought an Asteria 96 and a Heysea 82. The Asteria 126 is due to launch in January 2019 with delivery later in the year.

On-board accommodation is for up to eight guests across four cabins, including an owner’s suite on the main deck. The crew quarters are in the bow and can accommodate up to five staff with a double cabin for the captain.

Key features include a Cabana-style beach club and a large aft deck, including a sunbathing space aft and a dining area.

Inside, there is an open-plan saloon with a dining table for eight people, a settee and a bar area with three stools. But the selling point is the spacious sundeck, fitted with tender davit, spa pool, dining table, barbecue, bar area and a C-shaped settee.

Power comes from a pair of 1,925hp Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines for a top speed of 22 knots and comfortable cruising at 19 knots. An economic speed of 10 knots allows a cruising range of 1,200 nautical miles, drawing on a total fuel capacity of 13,500 litres.

Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Chinese yard include a 43-meter yacht as well as a 41-meter, both apparently destined for the Asian market.
