Holger Kahl has resigned from his position as managing director of the German shipyards of the Privinvest Group, including the managing boards of Nobiskrug, Lindeneau Werft and German Naval Yards Kiel.
Going forward, Kahl will maintain his presence within the holding company of the group in an advisory capacity.
Kahl’s former responsibilities for Lindeneau Werft will be taken over by Dr Bertram C. Liebler and Jörg Herwig, while the management for German Naval Yards Kiel will be adopted by Jörg Herwig and Philipp Maracke.
Meanwhile, at Nobiskrug, the managing board will continue with existing members Dr. Bertram C. Liebler and Johan Valentijn at the helm.
Holger Kahl—lawyer and naval architect by profession—joined Nobiskrug shipyard in 2005 when it was still part of tkMS and has been co-managing director of German Naval Yards Kiel since 2011.
Holger Kahl, commenting on his departure from the role, said, “After more than 10 years at the helm of the German shipyards of Privinvest family, I am glad to increase my focus on other fields of business within the Privinvest group and to also follow up own projects.”
Dieter Rottsieper, chief operating officer of Privinvest, added, “Our cooperation with Holger Kahl is evolving and we look forward to continuing our successful collaboration for the years to come.”
