Home & Yacht delivers greener solution

Home & Yacht Linens and Interiors has announced it has chosen global courier UPS to ship its products as both brands share the same desire to “help protect the client”.

Home & Yacht Linen and Interiors is now offering its clients the ability to counter balance the carbon dioxide emissions generated by their deliveries through carbon offsetting. This means that for every tonne of CO2 a delivery produces an equal amount of CO2 is saved by a verified emission reduction project somewhere else in the world.

In a statement, it said, “We ship dozens of parcels of our products around the world each week. In order to help protect the planet we have chosen a worldwide courier that cares as much as we do. UPS ships millions of packages each day.

“That’s why we offer a carbon neutral shipping option when we ship our client’s orders via UPS so you too can reduce your carbon footprint and demonstrate your commitment to sustainability, whilst at the same time provide your yacht with the high class bespoke products that we offer.”

Customers can contribute to projects like Garcia River Forest in the United States, Fujian Landfill Gas in China, La Pradera Landfill Gas in Colombia, and Cholburi Wastewater Biogas-to-Energy in Thailand. Home & Yacht Linens and Interiors prides itself on taking care of everything, from calculating the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to purchasing and retiring the carbon offsets.

Customers taking part in the carbon neutral programme pay a small fee to offset the climate impact of each delivery. Natural Capital Partners has verified the UPS shipment programme and certified it to be CarbonNeutral in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol.

CarbonNeutral® shipment is a proprietary trademark of Natural Capital Partners and is a world-leading brand mark which guarantees the quality and credibility of the UPS carbon neutral shipment program. Permission to display the CarbonNeutral® mark is given to clients when CO2 emissions have been measured and reduced to net zero through a program implemented in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol. The protocol assures the integrity of the carbon footprint assessments, the quality of the offsets purchased and the guarantee that the program has reduced emissions to net zero. The CarbonNeutral Protocol is overseen by a board of independent advisors to Natural Capital Partners. By using the CarbonNeutral® shipment accreditation, UPS is sending a powerful message about its commitment to taking responsible action to reduce its climate impact.
