Horizon Lines names Steve Rubin as president and CEO

Horizon Lines, a leading domestic ocean shipping company today announced that the board of directors has elected interim president and CEO Steven L. Rubin to serve as president and CEO on a non-interim basis beginning 1^st September 2014.  Steve Rubin was appointed to Horizon Lines' board of directors in November 2011 and continues to serve as a director of the company.

David N. Weinstein, chairman of the board commented, "Throughout this interim period, Steve's experience and skills as a seasoned transportation executive have made the transition seamless.
