Horizon Yachts adds new FD87 Skyline model to Fast Displacement Series

Horizon Yachts has announced the addition of the FD87 motoryacht to its new Fast Displacement series.

Said to have been inspired by a client’s ‘lifestyle request’ in a statement by Horizon Yachts, the FD87 will join the FD74, FD85 and FD102 models in the new series; there is talk of a new model, the FD122, in the future.

Designer Cor D. Rover collaborated with Horizon’s in-house naval architecture team on the FD87 Skyline. The vessel features a cool blue hull with contrasting white superstructure and an enclosed bridge alongside Horizon’s new High Performance Piercing Bow (HPPB).

According to Horizon, the new Skyline retains many of the features of the FD85, including floor-to-ceiling windows in the salon and dining areas. Accommodation on board features a large on-deck master bedroom followed by four other guest staterooms and two crew cabins on the lower deck.

Other standout features not included on the FD85 are a fully enclosed bridge and Portuguese walkway leading to the bow and seating area. Another new design for the FD87 is a spacious beach club and swim platform located aft.

The FD87 Skyline will be fitted with two CAT C18 1136hp stabilisers, and a 3,480-gallon fuel capacity enabling her to travel up to 2,000nm at a speed of nine knots. The first FD87 Skyline will be delivered to her owners in 2017.
