Hull and superstructure joined on first Majesty 120

UAE-based yard Gulf Craft has provided an update on the construction of the first in its 37-metre (121-foot) tri-deck Majesty 120 series, which is being built in the Emirates.

The hull and superstructure have now been joined, with completion scheduled for March 2020. It comes after the hull was released from the mould earlier in the year.

Gulf Craft first presented the newest member of the Majesty range at Monaco Yacht Show in September.

The Majesty 120 is constructed from GRP and carbon fibre, and features exterior designed penned in-house and interior design by Cristiano Gatto.

Her key details include an 8.1-metre beam and two-metre draft, while the exterior design is characterised by aggressive lines, extensive glass and low bulwarks.

Viewed as being “ideally suited” to European and American markets, the Majesty 120’s “asymmetric” accommodation is for up to 11 guests split across five staterooms. The crew quarters allows for up to seven staff.

Elsewhere, the Majesty 120 is equipped with a Jacuzzi on the sun deck, as well as a beach club that can be converted into a tender storage unit.

She is the first Gulf Craft superyacht to boast 100% electrically operated services on board. All engines and generators are electrically powered, “from the fin stabilisers to the thrusters and steering”, according to Mohammed Alshaali, Gulf Craft chairman.

“Listening to market demands for more efficiency as well as more comfort on board, the Majesty 120 not only meets these demands but represents a new era of Majesty Yachts around the world. Building on the quality and innovative design of the other models, the new model represents the best of the shipyard’s flagship brand.”

The Majesty 120 is available with two layouts; one with five cabins and one with six. Speaking at Monaco Yacht Show, Gatto noted the interiors as being “fresh and light”, with key materials including “lacquer, light woods and marble”.

He added, “For me, the Majesty 120 perfectly captures the direction in which this innovative brand is heading with her dynamic profile, balanced outdoor spaces and sophisticated interiors that are all designed with true yachtsmen and women in mind.”
