IGY Marinas has completed its dredging project at Yacht Club Isle de Sol on St Maarten, opening up the marina to a wider spectrum of superyachts in time for peak Caribbean season.
With 40 superyacht berths already in place for vessels of up to 91m LOA, Yacht Club Isle de Sol is now able to accommodate vessels with a draught of up to 5.3m (17ft 6in). According to IGY, this will allow the marina to better serve sailing yachts competing in regattas and events in the North-East Caribbean, including the Heineken Regatta, the Bucket Regatta, and Les Voiles de St Barth.
Tom Mukamal, CEO of IGY Marinas explained, “IGY Marinas is excited to Yacht Club at Isle de Sol’s dredging project come to fruition just in time for peak season in the Caribbean.
“The investment will allow deeper draught vessels to visit St Maarten for the first time. It is also consistent with our track record of capital investment in our portfolio to maximise the value of our infrastructure for our customers and stakeholders.”
