IGY Marinas has announced that it has expanded its Florida marina portfolio with the addition of One Island Park in Miami Beach.
Located on Terminal Island, the new location marks a milestone for the marina network as it is the first IGY Marina in South Florida.
Branded as “One Island Park - Miami Beach an IGY Marinas Destination”, the marina is open and already welcoming yachts.
Tom Mukamal, CEO of IGY Marinas commented, “Miami is one of the leading luxury yachting destinations in the United States making this a significant achievement for our targeted growth strategy in Florida.
“This exclusive Miami Beach superyacht facility not only allows IGY to showcase our unmatched services to the superyacht market, but also [to] attract even larger vessels to the destination. IGY Marinas is excited about the year ahead, and we are thrilled to begin to 2017 with a marina in South Florida.”
One Island Park – Miami Beach is a welcome addition to the portfolio as it boasts the largest private purpose-built megayacht dock in the United States, giving it the space to accommodate private vessels over 222m or 730ft in length. It also has a depth of 40m, dockside electricity and is exempt from Captain of the Port (COTP) zone regulations, offering what IGY brands as “a rare freedom in South Florida” to arrive and depart at will.
IGY has appointed Gili Wojnowich as general manager of the new marina, who, as a Certified Marina Manager (CMM), has served as general manager for several IGY marina locations, including Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina New York, Newport Yacht Club & Marina New Jersey, and Marina at Yacht Haven Grande St Thomas.
