In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Yacht-crew specialist Insignia Crew has announced the launch of a ‘focused and tested’ suite of new-to-market crew resilience training courses to positively impact the superyacht community.
The programme has been devised given the industry’s ‘overwhelming need for proactive crew resilience training and support around mental wellbeing’.
Using a tried and tested methodology and delivered by world-class trauma resilience and leadership consultants, Insignia Crew noted that crews and management organisations around the world will see positive change should commitment be made to invest in the very people who make the cogs turn in the industry.
Although many in the superyacht industry recognise and respect that strong mental wellbeing is of paramount importance to the successful running of a yacht or organisation, many simply do not know where to turn when support is needed in this area – whether that be preparedness of crew/staff when mental resilience is a consideration, or reacting to a traumatic event or high-stress environment which demands specialist intervention in order to minimise long-term problematic damage.
Andrew Holme, founder and managing director, noted, “Our fit-for-purpose training programmes have been tailored to meet the ongoing stresses and strains of operating in an ever changing and increasingly demanding maritime environment.
“Acknowledging the importance of crew welfare and dynamic leadership in the industry in order to achieve lasting positive outcomes, investing in human capital in order to grow and develop ‘a team’ is critical. As the old saying goes, ‘diamonds are not found, they are grown’.”
