JF Recruiting revamping to improve crew services

One of the industry’s leading yacht crew agencies, JF Recruiting, is getting a revamp this September, in order to offer additional services to recruiters and to crew members searching for jobs.

The JF Recruiting site has, for the last 11 years, offered recruitment services to captains, management companies and even other crew agents. Jonathan Franklin commented, “In any one year we have approximately 10 crew agencies or management companies post around 2,000 positions to our Jobs Board.”

According to JF Recruiting, on average, there are about 11,000 visitors from 156 countries browsing JF-Recruiting.com every month. It’s this success (their database holds over 34 000 CVs at this time) and the ever changing face of technology that has driven their site rebuild.

Jonathan continued, “I originally built JF Recruiting because I believed technology could produce a simple and efficient way to find and evaluate crew”.

This new version will include a raft of key features to enable recruiters to better select, evaluate and contact potential candidates. Jonathan explained, “We’ve tracked a steady growth in mobile use; currently over a third of our users visit the site via their mobile or tablet. Putting mobile first, was point number one on our new features list. This enables crew to check and apply for positions directly from their phone, speeding up responses to Job Postings.”

Improvements include:

Better selection: Filters and algorithms have been rebuilt to improve candidate suitability.

Improved evaluation: Displaying key data points such as work history, enables employers to quickly evaluate candidates at a glance.

Faster contact: Employers are given the ability to group contact potential candidates, saving time.

Crew agents will now have their own section with additional features. It will enable agents to automatically post their positions to the JF Recruiting Jobs Board, including showing their company logo.

All these new features will be available from September when JF Recruiting will be appearing at the Monaco Yacht Show.
