Kylie Jenner to hire fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho’s former superyacht Equanimity

It has recently been reported that American model, businesswoman and socialite Kylie Jenner has hired fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho’s former superyacht Equanimity, to celebrate her 22nd birthday on Saturday 10th August.

Now operating as Tranquility under new ownership, the 91.5-metre (300-foot) superyacht first hit headlines after she was seized by Indonesian authorities in August last year. She was then sold to Genting Malaysia Bhd for $126million (approximately £103million) following a successful bid earlier this year.

Originally purchased by Jho, the superyacht was allegedly bought with funds embezzled from the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) state fund. 

Valued at $250million (approximately £206million), Tranquility can accommodate 26 guests along with 28 crew members. UK-based Winch Design is responsible for the interior design, while exterior styling is by custom yacht builder Oceanco.

Available to hire for £1 million per week, she comprises a master suite and three VIP state rooms, a spa, beauty salon, cinema, gym, deck-pool, an outdoor bar and helipad.
