Largest Polish superyacht nearing completion at Conrad

Conrad Shipyard has announced that its largest new-build, the Conrad C133, is nearing completion at its facility in Gdańsk, Poland.

At 40m LOA, the C133 is not only Conrad’s largest construction, but also the largest motor yacht to ever be built in Poland.

With construction currently running on schedule, her build has taken almost three years to complete, with her launch planned for December 2017.

According to the yacht builder this completion date coincides with the birthday of the yard’s namesake, Polish-British writer Joseph Conrad, and the facility’s 14th anniversary.

In a statement on its website, Conrad said, “Conrad Shipyard is happy to announce that the C133 is the first step to develop a line of semi-custom luxury yachts to meet market demands for lower lead times.”

Reymond Langton Design studio was commissioned to create the lines of the full-displacement tri-deck, and Diana Yacht Design the naval architecture, in partnership with Conrad’s in-house team, for an experienced yachtsman and repeat client of the yard.

According to Conrad, “The vessel is ultimately designed to accommodate a family in luxurious style; she is a warm and welcoming family home built by a family company that always places the wishes of the client first.

“The design brief was for an elegant vessel with a bold design that had modern and unique lines, and which will remain timelessly stylish. Built to the highest Northern European standards, she features luxury interiors and a layout with elements that are usually only found in much larger yachts.”

The yacht’s interior décor was sourced from top design houses in London, Milan and Paris, and includes many personal touches, such as exquisite woods like Santos Rosewood and Makassar Ebony. On board she has four staterooms that can easily be converted into two VIP cabins if required.

She has a full-beam master suite at the fore, with port and starboard balconies, an office, luxury head with separate his and hers vanities and a spacious walk-in wardrobe. Crew quarters feature three double cabins, en-suite heads, laundry room and crew mess for seven.

Her interior includes a main deck saloon with comfortable lounge and dining table for 10 to 12 guests, with sliding doors on three sides and low bulwarks for spectacular views out. On her upper deck is an intimate indoor sky lounge with full bar, dumbwaiter and comfortable entertainment area with large-screen TV.

Other notable features include her aft garage, which transforms into a swim platform when opened, creating a beach club with secure access to the sea.

The C133 complies with Lloyd’s Register and MCA standards, built with a steel hull and light aluminium superstructure, with particular attention paid to sound and vibration reduction with her stabilisation system.
