World leading yacht broker Burgess, has recently announced that they have secured the sale of the largest superyacht to be sold this year. The magnificent 90m Nero was sold on Friday 9th May, providing optimistic signs that the market is increasing in confidence.
Inspired by the elegant ‘Corsair’ series of yachts owned by the financier JP Morgan in the early 20th century, Nero echoes the authentic line and form of the classic steam yacht. But her traditional appearance belies a thoroughly modern build, incorporating all the speed, luxury and state-of-the-art technology of today’s superyachts.
Following a resoundingly successful five year charter career, hosting an illustrious guest list on board, this truly unique vessel has now been sold by Burgess in their role as joint central agents. The asking price was €39,950,000.
She can accommodate 12 guests in one master cabin, two VIP cabins and two double cabins. Some of her on-board features include a gym, Jacuzzi, a pool on the foredeck and a large 18ft side hatch that’s used as a beach club. As with any change in ownership, Nero could now under go many alterations in order to suit her new owner’s preferences.
