Launch of Sailpowercourses.com; an online website for RYA crew training

Launching at the end of January, Sail and Power Courses Ltd will be offering a full online service for individuals to search and book with RYA and MCA approved crew training providers - the first time this service has been offered in the UK.

The Sailpowercourses.com website offers a brand new service when it comes to looking for an RYA or MCA training centre at which to attend approved courses, allowing individuals to search for courses based on which location they wish to sail, course type and date.

Heidi Frith, managing director of Sailpowercourses.com said, “This is a huge step forward for the many small to medium sized schools that currently do not have the facility to show course availability, take bookings and receive payments online.”

Besides secure online booking and payment, the website also offers a sailing guide to all of the areas in which marine courses are offered, so whether you would like to study while on board a charter yacht in the Caribbean, or you are urgently needing to study for your STCW for a work permit while in the UK, you’ll be able to find the next available course at a convenient location.

Michael Townsley, county antrim for MTF Sailing commented, “The development of Sailpowercourses.com is a much needed partner for RYA centre’s. The use of social media has changed the markets and the way sailing school interact to deliver their services.

The central booking system will be of great benefit to clients and schools. It will really help RYA schools compete in the larger adventure and tourism sectors, extending global markets as well as clients.”

Sailpowercourses.com currently has over 30 school registered online; these are based in the UK and 11 other countries around the world.
