Legend explorer yacht delivered following ICON Yachts refit

77m explorer superyacht Legend has been delivered by ICON Yachts, following an extensive refit.

According to ICON Yachts, the entire project was completed in under 12 months, with a brief to completely rebuild Legend and transform her into a luxurious explorer superyacht. Legend was officially relaunched in March, before leaving the yard on sea trials in June.

Previously a Class 1 icebreaking ship named Giant, the bright red hull of Legend is now a more subtle dark grey, as she was transformed into an explorer superyacht. Diana Yacht Design undertook the design and engineering of the rebuild, to full Lloyds certification.

The interior, completed by Thom Beerens and Jan Verkerk features a large dining table with a smaller dining area on the main deck. She also features a fitness room, movie theatre and medical suite on the main deck.

The owner’s deck features a helicopter pad on the aft deck, with a king size bed, bar and his-and-her’s en-suites inside. Other cabins for guests and crew are located between the main and boat decks.

Extensive changes to Legend include the addition of a swimming pool and platform, a stern extension by 3.6m, and the creation of a foredeck garage for submarine storage. Cranes were also added to enable the launch of water toys.

Legend is currently available for charter with Camper & Nicholsons International. Prices start at €455,000 per week.
