Lürssen extends superyacht Global to 74m following refit

Lürssen superyacht, M/Y Global has recently completed her latest refit, with her LOA extending from 68 to 74m, and her aft decks also being extended.

The six-month refit was completed at Lürssen’s Rendsburg yard, and was managed by Hill Robinson. Global, formely known as Kismet before her refit, was originally delivered back in 2007 as a displacement superyacht, featuring a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Since her delivery she has received one other refit in 2014, where her overall finish was repainted to a light grey.

Global’s exterior design was completed by Espen Øino, and a new nameplate was recently added on her superstructure. The Art Deco-inspired interior design, originally completed by Reymond Langton, also underwent subtle changes during the refit.

On board, Global is able to accommodate 12 guests over rooms including a master suite, a VIP cabin, and four double staterooms that can be converted into twins. She can also accommodate up to 22 crew in separate quarters. She is split over four decks, with a total internal volume of 1,795GT.

Global is powered by two Caterpillar 3512B engines, able to reach a top speed of 16 knots. She also has an impressive cruising range of 5,000nm at 12 knots, with a 200,000l fuel tank.
