In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
German yard Lürssen has launched 142-metre (466-foot) Project Redwood.
The yacht hit the water earlier this week after being moved onto a floating dock for superstructure manufacture in December 2018.
The six-deck superyacht, which can accommodate up to 36 people, is due to be delivered in 2020, when she will take her place among the largest superyachts in the world.
After first being announced in 2015 by Moran Yacht & Ship as a 139-metre (456-foot) enterprise, Project Redwood is equipped with a variety of impressive features, including a large swimming pool, a sports and diving centre on the lower deck, two superyacht helipads and a fleet of tenders measuring up to 15 metres (49 feet).
The yacht’s design comes from Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard, which is also responsible for her interior design. Featuring 20 staterooms, Project Redwood is being built to adhere to the Passenger Yacht Code. The studio commented, “Project Redwood will have efficient, long-range cruising capabilities for independent global exploration.”
Lürssen has collaborated with Nuvolari Lenard and Moran Yacht & Ship previously; the trio delivered 88-metre (289 foot) Quattroelle in 2013. Quattroelle went on to be a finalist at the World Superyacht Awards in 2014.
