Lurssen launches 130m+ superyacht Project Lightning

German shipyard Lurssen has launched the 130-metre-plus (427-foot) superyacht Project Lightning at its facility in Bremen, Germany.

The in-build yacht, which is shrouded in typical Lurssen secrecy, has not been seen since it was moved into the build hall in December 2017, following the departure of the then in-build Flying Fox.

Details about Project Lightning are scarce, with no information as yet disclosed regarding designers, naval architects or timeframes.

She will rank among the 20 largest superyachts in the world upon completion and is likely to be Lurssen’s largest unveiling of 2019.
