Major gastronomy & wine event set for Mexico

CANIRAC Los Cabos will be hosting its’ 8th Annual “Sabor a Cabo” (The Flavors of Cabo) in a highly anticipated International Gastronomy & Wine Event in Los Cabos on December 1st, 2013.  The event will be open to the public beginning at 5pm and ending at 11pm and held at one of the most spectacular real estate developments in Los Cabos at Campestre San Jose del Cabo, owned and operated by Grupo Questro.

Sabor a Cabo is considered to be one of the most prestigious events of the year with more than 5,000 attendees since its inception. The event is also contemplated to be a major attraction in the destination, with guests flying in from around the world to purchase tickets and dine beneath the stars, enjoying the best-of-the-best international cuisine and wine from the most spectacular restaurants and chefs working in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The news gets even bigger for Sabor a Cabo as this marks the first year that Fiturca (Los Cabo Tourism Board) along with HCP Publishing are putting in a geo-strategic effort to go international with the event. As always, local advertising and marketing efforts will be made and representatives from national and international magazines, newspapers, press and media will be in attendance. Thanks to HCP Publishing, they have offered advertising space in over 20 newspapers throughout the United States in major markets, which offer direct flights to Los Cabos, Mexico.

Also for the first time, this year’s event will far surpass any other in previous years with cooking for 50 VIP guests by three expert culinary, international chefs. One of the chefs is a 1-star Michelin chef from Tokyo, Japan while the other is a 2-star Michelin chef. According to Giammarco Vela, who is coordinating the marketing for CANIRAC Los Cabos, “A chef who is awarded with a Michelin star is the top in the culinary industry, given to only the best chefs in the world having worked and developed menus for major hotels or restaurants with a Diamond standard. Accompanying them will also be local chefs who are the cream of the crop, so to speak in their respected fields.”

Cuisine will be supplemented by the exquisiteness of the different wine houses in the Valley of Mexico such as Coahuila Parras, St. Thomas, San Rafael Valley and the “Napa Valley of Mexico” named Guadalupe Valley located in Northern Baja.

Entertainment will be produced by DJ Roman Rosati with a highly recognised international background. He has performed in more than 10,000 events in a variety of countries with some of the biggest icons of house music. There will also be guests artists from other genres to complement the evening.
