In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Marina Port de Mallorca has united with Marina Palma Cuarentena to launch a new environmental campaign to encourage the industry to better respect the environment.
The two marinas have installed rotating information panels that outline positive environmental practices, in the hope that its customers and collaborators will follow them where possible.
The panels share messages raising awareness of the importance of caring for the environment, as well as activities for both children and adults that focus on saving energy resources and water. The posters also offer information on where best to anchor.
The marinas hope that these messages will encourage others to help preserve the natural environment of the Balearic Islands, which attracts more and more yachts each year.
A complete promotion programme also features on the marinas’ websites and social networks. In combination with merchandise, these programmes hope to encourage customers to recycle, avoid water pollution and educate on the dangers of throwing plastics into the sea.
In order to make recycling on board easier, the marinas provide free recycling bags, which customers can freely take from the information panels installed near the reception.
The panels will remain in place until the end of the year.
Both marinas have the Blue Flag, a certificate that values the care of their waters and the means to reduce the negative impact on the ecosystem, EMAS, ISO 14001 and are registered in the Carbon Footprint Registry, which guarantees the control of carbon emissions.
