Maserati joining Bund Classic as key partner to celebrate its centennial

China Rendez-Vous, a leading organiser of acclaimed high-end lifestyle events in China, has announced that Maserati, one of the leading luxury and performance car makers in the world, has joined Bund Classic 2014 as a key partner to celebrate their centenary. Maserati will have a major presence at the show and will be integrated in numerous ways to tell their storied history to the assembled VIPs.

It has been quite a journey for Maserati since its inception in 1914 by Alfieri Maserati. The centenary offers Maserati the chance to celebrate their history, heritage and passion for their automobiles, making Bund Classic 2014 the perfect partner.

As part of the partnership, Maserati will be displaying a number of classic models as well as one of their new editions on the lawn of Waitanyuan to bring their history to life. Maserati will also hold a prestigious dinner on day two, in the premises of the former British consulate.

Joining the judging panel will be Adolfo Orsi Jr., grandson of Adolfo Orsi who owned the brand from 1937-1968. Mr. Orsi is an expert in classic cars and a historian of the Maserati brand. Initially dedicated to making racing cars, Maserati, under the Orsi leadership, began developing proper road cars to appeal to the non-racing affluent consumer who still had a taste for speed and adventure.

As an added bonus to the partnership, select VIPs will have the chance to test drive some of the Maserati models on hand on Monday 20^th October on a private course.

The second edition of Bund Classic has been attracting interest from major brands across multiple categories since the successful first edition closed its doors in October of 2013. With the signing of Maserati, the event is now truly on pace to become the most prestigious classic car event in the region.
