MasterCraft Boat Company has won its sixth NMMA Innovation Award in seven years, for its DockStar Handling System.
The National Marine Manufacturer’s Association (NMMA) and Boating Writers International selected just 19 of 63 selected products for awards, announcing MasterCraft as the winners of the 2017 Innovation Award at the recent Miami International Boat Show (15th to 20th February 2017).
Michael Hardicker, MD of MasterCraft Boats UK explained, “The DockStar Handling System, which is available on our bespoke superyacht tenders, enables boat drivers of any ability level to confidently drive in reverse and more easily navigate tight docks and crowded marinas. Whilst experienced superyacht crew will appreciate the ease of operation, DockStar comes into its own for less experienced drivers, particularly for those occasions when owners or guests want to be a bit more hands on.”
In the last three years, MasterCraft’s top new products and technologies - the Gen 2 Surf System, ProStar ski boat and X23 wake surf boat – all having received the annual Innovation Award from the NMMA and Boating Writers International.
