MasterCraft Boats UK adds new MasterCraft XStar to 2018 line up

MasterCraft Boats UK will add the new 2018 MasterCraft XStar to its range of bespoke superyacht tenders.

The iconic XStar re-emerges 21 years after her original, with what MasterCraft brands to be the “industry’s biggest wake”. 

According to the tender manufacturer, “It [the XStar] debuts a radical new wake-specific hull design that can be equipped with 4,100 lbs of ballast - the largest towboat ballast in the industry. This is achieved with a new midship ballast tank that enhances the wake and improves wake surfing performance.” 

She is also equipped with the Gen 2 Surf System to create “three zones of perfectly sculpted, customisable surf” and a new FastFill Ballast System that speeds time to towing by filling her tanks in under three minutes.

According to MasterCraft, its engineers have worked closely with some of the world’s best wakeboard athletes throughout the development stages of the new hull and ballast system. The culmination was a closed-water session where six of these athletes put the XStar through its paces. 

Other notable features include her MasterCraft Dual-Screen Dash control, Kilpsch Audio sound system and driving performance, which is enhanced by a new custom rudder design for nimble handling. She can also be fitted with a DockStar Handling System, MasterCraft’s flanking rudder system that makes manoeuvring in tight spots and crowded marinas easier. 

On board she has room for up to 16 passengers within her spacious and comfortable interior.
