MasterCraft Boats UK has announced a new model for its 2018 line up - the MasterCraft XT22 crossover sportsboat.
Available as a bespoke superyacht tender, the XT22 simplifies the on-board experience of its users by using new technology that tunes the boat’s operations to three usage modes; drive, tow and chill.
In a recent statement, MasterCraft Boats UK explained that a new dual-screen dash offers the first ever modal operating software for towboats to streamline boat operation and improve helm styling and ergonomics.
New touch and non-touch displays simplify boat control and screens are customised for each of the three most used modes. The system's software also offers pre-loaded tutorial videos and maps of all global waterways, integrating with users’ mobile phones, rear-facing cameras and on-board GoPro Cameras.
Michael Hardicker, MD of MasterCraft Boats UK said, “MasterCraft is constantly developing technology to improve owners on-the-water experience and the new dual-screen dash, incorporating the modal operating software, is another example of this. The versatility and ‘do-everything’ design of the XT22 crossover makes it perfect for the superyacht market. At 6.8m it can carry up to 16 passengers, so can comfortably double up as a limousine tender if required.”
With its recent partnership with Klipsch Audio, MasterCraft’s XT22 also debuts customisable Klipsch Audio systems, which now feature as standard equipment on all new MasterCraft boats. These MasterCraft-exclusive marine speakers and amplification solutions create what the manufacturer brands as “a concert-style entertainment experience”.
