Maud Creation Florale adopts biodegradable floral foam

French superyacht florist Maud Creation Florale has announced it has begun using new, eco-friendly floral foam to help reduce its impact on the environment.

OASIS® NatureBase® is unlike standard foam in that it is almost completely biodegradable – in-line with Maud Creation Florale’s green credentials.

The business’s leading product supplier, OASIS® developed the floral foam after numerous requests from Maud Creation Florale for biodegradable materials to be introduced into the industry. In the near future, the foam will be refined to make it 100% eco-friendly.

In a release, Maud Creation Florale commented, “As we all know, it’s becoming more and more important to save our planet and to do as much as possible to be eco-friendly. At Maud Creation Florale we do our part for nature; and of course its in our genes to be green.

“We have started working with OASIS® NatureBase® floral foam and it will be a great advantage to the environment. We suggest that you request this from your florist too. It’s the smallest things that make the greatest difference.”

Meanwhile, Maud Creation Florale also offers a vase exchange project, which aims to put an end to plastic waste in superyacht floristry.
