MD of Transshipping Agents becomes member of WISTA Panama

Nydia Rodriguez, owner and co-founder of Transshipping Agents, has become a member of the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA) Panama.

Formed in 1974, with six women from European countries, WISTA International is a global organisation connecting female executives and decision makers around the world. Today it serves as a connector for its network of more than 3,000 female professionals from all sectors of the maritime industry.

Rodriguez, managing director of Transshipping Agents, said, “I’m proud to be a new member of WISTA Panama. It’s a real honour to be part of this international organization that helps minimize the existing gender leadership gap in the maritime, trading and logistics sectors.”

WISTA was established to promote diversity in the maritime trading and logistics sector - allowing women to confidently lead through their perspective and competencies. The organisation is built on the belief that gender diversity is key in providing a sustainable future for the shipping industry internationally.
