New 116m superyacht Testarossa to be built at Lürssen yard

Moran Yacht and Ship have announced the signing of a mammoth new superyacht – the 116-metre (380-foot) Testarossa, which will be built at prestigious German yard Lürssen and delivered in 2022.

The new project is the third collaboration between Moran and design firm Nuvolari Lenard, following the 86-metre Quattroelle and the 139-metre Redwood (the latter of which is still under construction). Nuvolari Lenard, alongside Simone Feltrin, is responsible for Testarossa’s exterior and interior stylings.

The 5,000GT build is reported to have been commissioned by a repeat client of Moran, with the Italian design duo keeping the visuals firmly under wraps for the time being.

In related news, Lürssen’s Bremen facility has recently been hit hard by a devastating inferno which engulfed a shed at the yard and could end up costing insurers a joint bill of nearly €600 million.
