New £25m ‘superyacht’ hotel opens in Southampton

The Harbour Hotel, which has been designed to look like a modern superyacht, is situated on the waterfront at Ocean Village and is hoping to gain a five-star rating imminently. It will bring up to 120 new jobs to the area.

The striking building boasts 85 bedrooms, with prices starting from £185 per night, and is surrounded by an extensive decked terrace outdoors to offer great views of the marina.

Among the building’s indoor features is a jetty-style ground floor restaurant, a cinema that will showcase the latest films and cult classics, and numerous event rooms for weddings and other functions. On the top floor there is a rooftop bar, kitchen and club, which will open late every night and host local DJs and live music. Elsewhere, the hotel also contains an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and hydrotherapy pool. 

Residents of Southampton have been given full access to all facilities.
