New Bahama SkyMaster yacht announced

Paragon Motor Yachts has recently announced the construction of the custom 100ft Bahama SkyMaster yacht for a repeat client.

The new 100ft SkyMaster is named after its “Bahamas House” - a large superstructure featuring vertical windows that enhance the abundant interior space, while diminishing heat and A/C load.

The SkyMaster also features Paragon’s new “Bahamas Cockpit” design – a large tiered mezzanine and cockpit area aft of the main salon intended as a grand entertainment platform. The covered upper mezzanine includes a relaxing seating area with plenty of storage while the lower cockpit features all of the amenities needed when enjoying Bahamian waters, including a Viking gas barbecue, wet bar, ice chipper and built-in cooler.

Designed specifically to tow a large centre console, the SkyMaster features integrated tow line stowage on the interior port and starboard sides of the cockpit. Another unique feature is the dedicated, USCG-compliant and RINA-certified, 300-gallon gasoline tank and pump designated for fuelling the centre console or tender, on extended excursions.

From the engine room through the main salon to the carbon fibre radar arch and the all-carbon flybridge furniture, the SkyMaster has been carefully designed and engineered to ensure silence, stability and performance.

Within an interior designed by Marty Lowe, the SkyMaster comfortably accommodates eight guests in three king staterooms, a fourth queen-size stateroom and an additional bunk, and includes accommodation for a captain and three additional crew members, all easily serviced by three full sets of laundry machines.

Scott Robinson, company founder and president of Paragon Yachts commented, “We are very proud of the new SkyMaster. To say we are meticulous in our design process may be an understatement, but this collaboration with owners who are experienced boaters and who are familiar with our process is proving to yield a fantastic result.”

The SkyMaster is currently in build at Paragon’s Kaohsiung, Taiwan-based shipyard, American Pacific Boatworks. As the only American-owned and operated shipyard in Taiwan, American Pacific Boatworks is also the first and only boat builder in the country to utilise carbon fibre in the fabrication of major structures of its build.

The 100-foot SkyMaster will conduct sea trials in August and will debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October, 2014.
