Leading marine surveyor Craft Management recently announced that their operations manager Javier Fernandez has been accepted as a full member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying.
Upon receiving the certificate, Javier commented, “I’m very proud and happy to have been accepted as a full member of the IIMS. It’s an honour and I will work very hard to both keep the association’s confidence and to further develop Craft Management as a reference in this kind of service.”
In order to achieve the award, Javier had to submit the following documentation to the IIMS:
- Education and qualifications
- Non-marine surveying employment
- Marine surveying employment
- Areas of marine surveying in which applicants claim experience and expertise
- Consultancy/specialisations, expert testimony/other information
The application for membership was reviewed by the IIMS Professional Assessment Committee, who agreed that based on Javier’s experience and qualifications that he would become a full member.
Javier also commented, “It took almost six months from the first point of contact until I received the certificate. This is a very important milestone to become an internationally recognised company.”
