New Monaco marina opening summer 2018

SMIP began construction of the new 171-berth marina Cala del Forte last week after a five year halt in construction. The marina will be open by summer 2018, and will have berths ranging from 6.5m to 60m. 40-year leases are available to purchase exclusively from Supertoys Monaco.

The marina is eight nautical miles from Monaco and will be managed by Ports of Monaco alongside Port Hercule and Port of Fontvieille. Many services, including a shipyard, shops, parking and gardens, will be on site. The old town Ventimiglia will be accessible from the port either by a public elevator or funicular. All amenities, offices and urban works will be finished by summer 2019.

SMIP bought 100% of Cala del Forte’s shares on 6^th December 2016 from the Cozzi Parodi group.  40% of the work needed had been completed by the previous developers.

Mr Borea d’Olma, administrator of Cala del Forte S.r.l and general director of SEPM, told MooringSpot that the new marina will have a “unique and strong identity”.
