New record audience for Riviera Radio

Riviera Radio, a popular English-speaking radio station with the yachting set of the Côte d’Azur, has announced that it has continued to grow its audience.

According to the results of the Médialocales survey from Médiamétrie, published this week, over the period of September 2014 to June 2015, the number of unique listeners of Riviera Radio grew by 37% across the Alpes-Maritimes in relation to the previous year, securing them a 2.7% share in the market. 

A recent press release from the media brand explained that, over the past five years (2010 to 2015), the number of Riviera Radio listeners has grown by over 130%. It also shared that the Médiametrie’s survey measures only the French radio audience of the Alpes-Maritimes region, and does not include the population of the Principality of Monaco, where the station is based and where more than 30% of the population is English-speaking, or the strong Anglophone residents population settled on the French Riviera.

“Unique daily local news in English, this is a result of the local proximity and promotional strategy, and the editorial involvement in the biggest events in the region: International Cannes Film Festival, Grand Prix Forumula 1 Monaco, Cannes Yachting Festival, Monte Carlo Rolex Masters Tennis, Les Voiles d'Antibes and the Monaco Yacht Show.
