New texyloop technology used by Multiplex

Multiplex, a leading specialist in boarding systems, awnings and fenders for the superyacht industry, is now using the texyloop process to recycle its old sun awning systems.

Texyloop is a joint venture between Solvay and Serge Ferrari Group, and has been operationnal since 2008. It is a patented technology for the recycling of flexible composite materials (Polyester base cloth + PVC coating only).

Currently more than 100 companies across Europe have signed the European Texyloop Chart and contribute to the collection network.

This technology is derived from the Vinyloop patent, and separates the polyester fibres from the PVC coating to produce new raw materials which will be used in different industrial chains.
