In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
German shipyard Nobiskrug has unveiled that its newest motor yacht, 77-metre (253-foot) Black Shark, will be delivered in spring 2021, following on from its successful keel laying ceremony on 20th February 2019.
Held at Nobiskrug’s keel laying premises in Kiel, the ceremony marked the yard’s first event of 2019.
Holger Kahl, managing director of Nobiskrug, introduced the ceremony following on with a speech from Evgeniy Kochman, chief executive of Imperial, which acted like a broker for the sale of Black Shark and remains as the owner’s representative and construction supervisor throughout the build of the motor yacht.
Kochman commented, “We are pleased to team up again with our esteemed partners at Nobidkrug. Project Black Shark is a major milestone for Imperial on several aspects: the very first Imperial vessel designed in close collaboration with Winch Deign and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, and the very first publicised superyacht project from keel laying to delivery.
“With Project Black Shark, together with Nobiskrug, we want to give a clearer understanding of our industry and how exclusive creations are coming to life, who are the people behind. We will not only reveal to the world an exciting 77-metre superyacht, but a vision from the inside like it was never done before!”
The keel laying ceremony serves as an important milestone in a yacht’s build history. The ceremony also presents the traditional coin insertion, where the yacht owner places a special coin underneath the keel. This significant introduction to the hull assembly symbolises good luck for when the yacht is sailing the oceans, and is returned to the owner once the yacht is close to completion.
Project Black Shark is set to be a real head-turner once delivered, in-keeping with Nobiskrug’s innovative reputation. Boasting a dynamic, remarkable exterior designed by prestigious British studio Winch Design, and a smooth, state-of-the-art interior by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, Black Shark is already living up to her name.
