British marine furnishing brand OceanAir Marine, has been selected as one of the Central South region’s 20 mid-market ‘companies of tomorrow’.
After analysis was completed of businesses with a turnover between £5m and £10m, companies which showed sustained growth and potential were identified and awarded the accolade.
The analysis was completed by accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP. Upon receiving the award, Andy Fitzgerald, managing director of Oceanair commented, “We are delighted to be recognised in this way. We should note that we have now crossed that £10m turnover boundary to now effectively be classified as a mid-market company of today!”
Oceanair Marine Limited was founded in 1990, and supplies blinds, shades, screens and soft furnishings to the marine market. Exporting to over 37 countries, its products are designed and manufactured in its UK-based facility. According to a statement from Oceanair, it has previously been selected analysis for high performance over the last three years.
Speaking about how the analysis was conducted, Malcolm Thixton, lead partner at BDO Southampton commented, “The mid-market, with company turnover between £10m and £300m, is rightly receiving greater national recognition. It is crucial to our economy and is driving growth in the Central South region.
“However, arguably of equal importance are those fast growing and ambitious businesses that will soon be breaking through that £10m turnover threshold to become the mid-market companies of tomorrow, and it is these companies that we wanted to recognise.”
