Oceanair’s Skysol Motion announced as category winner at the METS 2013 Dame Awards

Oceanair is proud to announce that their new Skysol Motion has won its category at the prestigious METS Dame Awards.

Winning the Category of interior equipment, furnishings, materials & electrical fittings used in cabins, Sskysol Motion is a stylish pleated blind offering the practicality and convenience associated with traditional roller blinds, combined with the elegant look and feel of a pleated blind.

Upon winning the award, Andy Fitzgerald Oceanair’s managing director, said; “We are thrilled to accept this award. At Oceanair we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver innovatively designed custom solutions. Constantly looking to push the boundaries of blind design and manufacture, it’s fantastic to be recognized for this quality within the wider marine industry.”

Just one of eight brand new products launched at METS 2013, please come by to visit the Oceanair stand where their full range (including the Skysol Motion) will be on display. Stands 11.009 and 11.016).

The Skysol Motion has been developed with the support from world leading boat builders and engineered for competitive pricing. A specially designed self-retracting recoil system developed and manufactured in-house by Oceanair is the key innovative feature of the blind, not previously available in the marine market. A tension system prevents movement and rattling and enables the blind to be fixed to angled and inclined windows. The low maintenance pleated blind is streamline and compact with an aesthetically pleasing design.  Available in a choice of popular hardware colours, fixed twin handles allow for easy use and blind stowage.

A wide choice of moisture resistant pleated and Duette™ fabrics are available, ensuring UV rays coming into the boat are minimised, whilst naturally regulating onboard temperatures and saving on costs. For the first time, Skysol Motion combined with Oceanair’s existing pleated blind range, allows for a consistent pleated blind interior styling.
