Yachting Pages has put several of the leading safety cases (and other associated products) to the test. The objective: to ascertain how each product performs and determine which one is best equipped to safely contain a lithium battery-induced fire.
The Dutch shipyard Oceanco has announced it has teamed up with Nauta Design studio on a new 102m concept named Project Spectrum.
Announced at last week’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the concept is a five-deck vessel, and the first collaboration between the two brands. Nauta Design is renowned for working on some impressive projects including Azzam, the world’s largest superyacht, and Cantiere Delle Marche’s explorer yachts.
Project Spectrum will feature a hydro-propulsion system, able to cruise at a speed of up to 18.5 knots, and a streamlined profile to help minimise resistance.
Accommodation is available on board for 14 guests, across a master suite, two VIP cabins and four double cabins. Standout features include large windows and fold-out balconies, opening up the interior and exterior areas. A central elevator connects all five decks, allowing straight-forward access for guests from the cabins to the main lounge on the bridge deck.
Other features include a Jacuzzi located aft, and a wellness suite on the lower deck with a sauna, steam room, massage room, gym, and beauty treatment areas. The upper deck is then entirely for the owner, and as well as providing panoramic views the owner can enjoy private access to a spa pool and exterior seating area.
