Oculus Technologies launch two new YachtEye interactive features

Oculus Technologies has launched two new features to YachtEye™ adding yet further diversity to this interactive guest infotainment platform. The expanded and improved touchscreen system feature now includes additional functionality, design features and more bespoke options and the new API (Application Programming Interface), offering a more interactive user experience via third party control platforms. The launch follows YachtEye’s most successful year to date and coincides with the build up to Monaco Yacht Show where YachtEye™ will be on display across numerous locations.

Now with a greater range of screen sizes available, plus the option of custom dimensions, the touchscreen system reflects the true aspect of YachtEye’s interactive nature. This intuitive exploration of the 3D virtual yachting environment now features a flush-hardened glass surface which can also be flush mounted, a waterproof rating of IP56 and touch connectivity directly over IP. For the complete touchscreen solution, the screens, as well as incorporating YachtEye, can also be delivered complete with an interactive suite including games, video and image viewers and internet browsing.

The new API allows third party control systems to communicate with YachtEye upgrading the YachtEye TV channel from passive to interactive. Compatible with control platforms such as Crestron, AMX or Savant, this new API enables interactive YachtEye feature and module control from control panels and devices providing the user with greater personal control and experience of everything YachtEye has to offer. With the control interface connection, multiple users are able to share the system simultaneously whilst seeing each others actions and when used in conjunction with multiple YachtEye units, for example where one is allocated for the owner and one for the guests, control of each unit is entirely independent.

YachtEye will be on display and demonstrated at both the Imtech / VBH stand QD69 and on the Crestron stand QP5 at this month’s Monaco Yacht Show, which takes place from 24th to 27th September.
