Orolia, a global specialist in critical GPS applications, have today announced that they have been awarded a contract worth almost 1.5 million euros, which involves the supply of beacons to track fishing boat fleets and oil slicks.
The company said, "News of this latest contract for M2M marine applications underlines our capacity and expertise in developing positioning and communication equipment for mobile objects, which are exposed to particularly extreme environmental conditions (flooding, hard impacts or vibrations, high humidity or dust, etc.)."
The beacons will be supplied at intervals throughout 2013 - 2014.
