OTAM reveals details of 100 HT superyacht concept

OTAM has unveiled the concept for 30m yacht 100 HT, designed by Umberto Tagliavini. First revealed at Cannes Yachting Festival, the design shows great attention to privacy and space, as well as trademark OTAM power and sleek, customisable styling.

Customisation and optimisation of space is at the heart of the design. The layout proposed by the yard allows for a large cockpit that holds a spacious sunbathing area over the tender garage, as well as two lateral settees and dining space for up to 10 guests. The dining area is shaded by a hard top for protection from the sun and wind, while the sunbathing area has an optional integrated bimini-top.

In terms of privacy, the design features crew-specific passageways for minimum interaction between guests and crew. The lower deck covers a total of 80m2, with 60m2 of this customisable by the owner to devise the ideal layout for guests and crew.

Access to the crew’s quarters is via a dedicated entryway, to once again further maximum privacy on board. Totalling 24m2,, these quarters are divided into a kitchen, spacious salon and two twin-berth cabins with private bathrooms. Direct access is given to the engine room to maximise efficiency and safety in the working of the yacht.

OTAM’s proposed layout includes a full-beam owner’s suite of 6.63m amidships, with a private bathroom equipped with a large separate shower, as well as a 14m2 VIP cabin forward and two twin-berth cabins, each with their private bathroom.

On the main deck, one of the two doors is a sliding door, while the second disappears, lowering into the bulkhead below that separates the engine room from the crew’s quarters. This permits the guests in the cockpit to easily interact with those in the main salon. The main deck is a generous 37m2 and has the option of either a home cinema or bar.

Powered by twin 2,600 hp MTUs, the 100 HT achieves power that exceeds the expectations of 30m+ yachts, achieving a 43-knot cruise speed and a 48-knot maximum. The design features a sleek single layer, for an iconic OTAM look, but can be customised to include a touch-and-go helipad that breaks up the singular profile.
