Organisers have announced that the 2018 edition of the Palma Superyacht Show will be bigger than ever, with a larger selection of bigger yachts and an extended exhibition area.
The sixth edition will feature 80 superyachts over 24m (78.7ft) for immediate sale and/or charter; an increase of 20 yachts on last year’s offering. The line up will include a 50:50 ratio of motor and sailing yachts, with attendees including those that have won regattas and prestigious awards, as well as some of the industry’s most impressive.
The increased amount of larger superyachts will be accommodated in an extended show area, both on and off the water.
Organisers of the show commented, “Many owners are looking to build or buy bigger yachts and we’re excited to announce that this ‘growing’ trend will be reflected in the next edition of yachting’s favourite event, the Palma Superyacht Show.”
A number of key international yachting players and brokerage houses have confirmed their return to the show, including Fraser, Bluewater, Northrop and Johnson, Burgess, Pantaenius and Yachting Pages Media Group.
Carrie Plummer, group operations manager at Yachting Pages, said, “We always look forward to our participation at the Palma Superyacht Show and await its arrival with great anticipation.
“The show is a key date in our calendar as a marker of the start of the yachting season, and fits perfectly with our launch of the new Yachting Pages Mediterranean directories. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with clients and partners alike in the relaxed setting the show provides.”
Bluewater’s Sophie Allerton added, “Bluewater were delighted to sell both boats that we had on display last year [M/Y Moon and S/Y Limitless], and we are looking forward to another successful show in 2018.”
The next edition of the show takes place alongside the Palma International Boat Show, 27th April to 1st May 2018 in Palma de Mallorca.
