PEC-Deck demonstrations at METS

Brookes Bell has revealed that its latest technology, the PEC Deck, will be available for demonstrations at METS next week.

The PEC Deck is being well received in the yachting industry with its capacity to ‘see through’ teak decks in order to diagnose any issues, such as corrosion, that lie beneath. This means that the state of a deck plate can be reviewed without having to remove the teak deck. This also applies to other finished coating, antifouling and insulation layers.

The technology was unveiled during the Monaco Yacht Show in September, and received an unprecedented reaction to this new suite of Non-Destructive Testing Equipment from various corner of the superyacht industry.

Patrick Yeoward, of Brookes Bell, reflected, “During the course of the Monaco Yacht Show 2019, we had numerous positive reactions and some serious enquiries for all sectors; brokerage, management, refit, shipyards and designers”

Due to large demand, Brookes Bell has created some extra one-to-one demonstration slots for exhibitors and visitors to METS.

The PEC Deck technology equipment is complex, but the execution and reporting are very simple. The equipment is portable so scan can be carried out conveniently to fit around a superyacht’s movements. Its portability means Brookes Bell can demonstrate the technology during METS, giving superyacht owners, shipyards, skippers, management companies and brokers the opportunity to see the equipment in action, find out what it can do and how they can plan scans for their vessel in 2020.
