Permare launches fourth Amer 94

Italian yard Permare has launched the new 28.65-metre (94-foot) GRP fast-planing yacht; the fourth hull in its Amer 94 series.

The launch took place at the yard’s Viareggio facility this month.

She is the first hull within the series to feature two 1,000 hp Volvo Penta D13-IPS 1350, an optional engine unveiled by Permare in October last year. The engine has been added to boost the Amer 94's performance credentials and improve on fuel efficiency.

Luxury yacht designer, Stefano Tini was responsible for the interior design. The yard revealed the yacht, which will attend the Cannes and Genoa yacht shows, features a green colour scheme, inside and out.

On board there are various options for exterior relaxation including the sundeck with its retractable Bimini, and the foredeck seating area, which provides additional privacy when moored stern to.

Accommodation allows for up to eight guests split across four cabins, including a full beam master. Meanwhile, crew quarters offer accommodation for up to three members of staff.

The yacht also includes joystick control for more precise manoeuvring and a dynamic positioning system, which allows the yacht to stay in a given spot without dropping anchor. This feature is ideal for superyacht owners who wish to visit environmentally sensitive areas.

Despite this new option, Permare is still keen to point out that its more powerful triple IPS 900 set-up is available to order. Hull number three in the Amer 94 series, Drifter was launched last year, and used this engine set-up to achieve a top speed of 29 knots on her sea trials.
