Port Denia nearing full capacity after yard improvements works

Varadero Port Denia has announced that it’s operating at near-full capacity both in its shipyard and marina, following a recent increase in dry-dock capacity.

According to the yard, a sunny and mild winter season is in full swing, with an increase in yachts of 30-metres (98-feet) plus up on the hard, and two continually busy slipways capable of hauling vessels of 80m and 1,200gt.

Recently completed projects include a Lloyds Survey aboard classic 65m M/Y Yaakun, a repeat visitor who also saw works completed on her valves and rudder, hull-thickness measurement, mega test, shaft seal, replacement and antifouling.

Other recent works include upgrades aboard 45m Benetti motor yacht Il Sole, which received a full paint and interior refit, including captain’s bridge, air-conditioning and electronic systems, as well as a BV survey and construction of a brand-new sun deck.

Paint works are also currently being carried out on 31m M/Y Bella Navetta and 30m M/Y Figi, while sailing yachts Burrasca, Aiglon and Emmaline have completed or are undergoing surveys and/or refit works.
